At the turn of 2025 and 2026, a collective monograph authored by researchers from the Department of Management and Public Policy at the University of Opole was published. The book, entitled “Public Policy and Local Crises: Lessons from Poland and Central Europe,” was released by the international academic publisher Peter Lang.
The publication explores the issue of state responses to crisis situations and focuses on events such as the 2024 floods in the Opole region, changes in the labour market resulting from the Russian–Ukrainian war, and the development of civil protection institutions.
The book will be available both in the University of Opole Library and online in open access.
