On January 8, 2025, the University of Opole and the Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Opole signed a cooperation agreement. The document was signed by the Rector of the University of Opole, Prof. Jacek Lipok, and the Opole Provincial Commander of the State Fire Service, Brigadier General Paweł Kielar.
Scope of Cooperation:
The agreement includes:
– Co-organization of conferences and seminars on topics related to safety and crisis management.
– Joint training in modern rescue techniques and crisis management.
– Joint research projects concerning public safety and rescue technologies.
– Practical exercises and workshops, allowing for testing theory in action.
– Public education, including prevention campaigns.
– Professional internships and apprenticeships for UO students in State Fire Service units.
The Department of Management and Public Policies, operating within the Institute of Political Science and Administration, is responsible for the implementation of the agreement on behalf of the University of Opole.
